The blend and the filter are the basis of the success of the product. A wrong filter nullifies the quality of the blend.

Blends

The most popular blends are divided into American Blends and Virginia Blends. The choice depends on the sales market. There are countries where only one of these two types of blend is smoked, and some where both are smoked.

For each type of blend it is important to correctly balance the types of tobacco to be used (Burley, Virginia and Oriental), its components (lamina, expanded lamina, recon, and expanded stem) so that the blend has the right ventilation, the additives to add (casing and flavour), and the countries of origin so as not to depend on the seasonality of a single country.

Filters

The filter depends on the type of blend and the habits of the sales market. In addition to the type of filter (mono acetate filter, charcoal filter, dual filter, recessed filter, or other types of filters), it is essential that the filter has the correct pressure drop which, together with its ventilation, allows to reach the nicotine, TAR and CO goals.

Proper ventilation must be achieved with a studied perforation of the tipping paper which must be done by the supplier of the tipping paper or online if the maker cigarettes has laser perforation.

Other Materials

Of the other materials necessary to complete the product, the cigarette paper must be chosen very carefully because, in addition to allowing proper combustion, it affects its taste. Choosing the right paper doesn’t just depend on its cost.

All other materials (inner frame, aluminum paper, blanks, tear tape and polypropylene) only affect the correct closure of the packaging, which is important for maintaining the humidity and taste of the cigarette.
